How does the Creative Quest Club work@2x

Think of it like a book club – but for creativity. Channel Twelve will set the Quest theme for each month – together we’ll immerse ourselves in it.

Attend a weekly inspiration session (on Zoom for now), facilitated by Channel Twelve.
Stay connected, inspired and accountable in a Creative Quest Club whatsapp group. 10-12 members.
As a community exploring with the same intention, expect to grow - as your very own eco-system.
Inspired by our Quest theme: we explore, ask questions, play, channel our inner artists, embrace being beginners and of course, we create.

These are personal Creative Quests, with communal support. You can give as much or as little time as you like. From experience we can say – the more heart you put in, the more reward you get back.

WHAT KIND OF THEMES DO YOU EXPLORE ON A CREATIVE QUEST?

Channel Twelve believes in an “open-hearted practice”. This means every artform/subject can be approached with a creative spirit and an open mind. Our “one theme a month” keeps us focused, but should not limit your sense of adventure in any way. We currently explore five areas in our Quests:

[Themes will remain a mystery until 3 days before your Quest begins. Embrace the unknown!]

MAKING

Creating through
artistic means.

Examples

Animation, Origami.

MOVING

Engaging your
physical being.

Examples

Dance, Yoga.

NOTICING

Becoming mindful of
your surroundings.

Examples

Patterns, Colour.

THINKING

Exploring different
forms of thought.

Examples

Meditation, Futurism.

RETURNING

Connecting with the
natural world.

Examples

Water, Rewilding.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

These Quests are a creative endeavour into the unfamiliar. Like all great adventures – you’ll likely find yourself traversing many paths:

PHYSICAL
what places can you visit to immerse yourself in a theme? Galleries, events, classes, shows, nature spaces, communities etc.
DIGITAL
escape your echo chamber and navigate the internet differently by searching for yet-to-be-heard voices and new multimedia landscapes.
INTELLECTUAL
who are the thought leaders & most interesting voices connected to the theme? Globally, historically and in your more immediate community.
VISUAL
which films, TV shows, books, art have been made around this theme that can further your understanding? What do you notice in your surroundings you didn’t notice before?
ARTISTIC
what are you able to make related to the theme? How could you channel what you’re learning?
